Mehsud’s killing by Drone attack is no doubt a very big achievement. But it has just come to my knowledge that ironically Mehsud was killed by a Pakistani drone attack not the American Drone. 

It was extremely shocking for the USA too as killing Mehsud was not in the priority list of USA. Mehsud was responsible to align forces who can show to the world that Pakistan’s nukes are going to fall into the hands of Taliban. The initial reaction of USA on killing of Mehsud was surprising to everybody. Americans initially wanted evidence and showed reluctance to believe that Mehsud was dead. Later on provision of sufficient evidence and intelligence confirmation they had to swallow that bitter pill.

It was also very much amazing to know about the way Mehsud was eliminated. His wife was doing massage on his legs as he was a diabetic patient. Reports say that he was seeing by himself that drones were flying above his place and he did not choose to run. That is really strange, because if that would be anybody else it would have been a clear decision of him to run for his life. But Mehsud decided against that and stayed there as he was 100% sure that US Drone would not attack him. Why??? all because he was sure that Americans would never target them as he was there man. The ISI’s secret action gave big surprise to USA and eventually they had to declare it as a joint action of CIA and ISI..

There are many more developments expected in few weeks. More ironically, with the debacle of Tehreeke Taliban Pakistan, it was believed that anti NATO assaults would minimize but yesterday’s attacks on NATO’s head quarters in Kabul suggest that Taliban of Afghanistan are still powerful and have the capability to take action at the time of their choice. It also proves that Taliban of Afghanistan have their own power source and discontiuation of alleged support from Pakistan would not minimize their lethal capabilities. Let’s see how things change now!!
